Write for Us: Editorial Contributions on TextReverse.com
TextReverse.com is used by more than 2.7 million people a year to flip, style, count and play with text. If you know something useful or interesting about text, fonts, words or writing, we'd like to publish it. This page explains what we're looking for, how to pitch, and what happens after you do.
What we publish
Our readers are writers, students, designers, social media creators and anyone who works with words. We're looking for practical, well-researched articles on topics such as:
- Reversed and transformed text: backward writing, mirror text, upside-down text and where people actually use them.
- Fonts and Unicode: fancy text, special characters, how Unicode styling works, and accessibility considerations.
- Typography and lettering: choosing fonts, readability, and type for social media and design.
- Words and language: palindromes, wordplay, word origins, puzzles and fun linguistic facts.
- Writing skills: clear writing, editing, formatting, character and word limits on popular platforms.
- How-to guides: practical tutorials that help readers get more out of text tools.
Contribution guidelines
- Original and unpublished: your article must be your own work and not published anywhere else.
- Useful and specific: aim for 800 to 2,000 words, with real examples, steps or insights readers can use.
- Accurate: fact-check your claims and link to reliable sources where you cite data or research.
- Readable: use clear headings, short paragraphs and plain language.
- Images: only include images you created or have the right to use, with credits where required.
- Not promotional: articles that mainly advertise a product, service or website won't be accepted.
Link policy
You may include one link to your website or profile in your author bio, and links within the article where they genuinely help the reader. Links to contributor-owned or commercial sites are marked rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored". We don't sell links, and we don't accept articles written mainly to place them.
How to submit
- Send a pitch first, not a finished article. Use the subject line "Write for Us: [your topic]".
- Include 2 or 3 topic ideas, each with a working title and a short outline.
- Share 2 or 3 links to your published writing, plus a one-line bio.
What happens next
- Review: we reply within 7 to 10 business days if your idea is a fit.
- Draft: you write the full article, usually shared as a Google Doc.
- Edit: our editors review it for clarity, accuracy and formatting, and may suggest changes.
- Publish: your article goes live on the TextReverse.com blog with your name and author bio.
Frequently asked questions
Do you pay for contributions or charge to publish them?
No. Contributions are editorial: we don't pay for articles and we don't charge for publication. We also don't sell links or sponsored placements through this page.
Can I include links to my own website?
You can include one link to your website or profile in your author bio, plus links within the article where they genuinely help the reader. Links to contributor-owned or commercial sites are marked rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored". Articles written mainly to place links will be declined.
How long does it take to hear back?
We aim to reply to every pitch within 7 to 10 business days. If you haven't heard from us after 14 days, it's fine to assume the idea isn't a fit right now and pitch it elsewhere.
Can I submit an article that has already been published elsewhere?
No. We only accept original articles that haven't been published anywhere else, including on your own blog or on Medium. After your article goes live on TextReverse.com, please don't republish it in full elsewhere.
Can I use AI tools to write my article?
You can use AI tools for research or editing support, but the article must reflect your own knowledge and voice, and every fact must be checked by you. Unedited AI-generated drafts will be declined.
Will my article be edited before it's published?
Yes. We may edit for clarity, length, accuracy, formatting and SEO, and we may update the headline. For substantial changes we'll check with you before publishing.
